I can totally relate to his story being a collegiate runner and then being struck down with RSD. I think my late diagnosis was some what helpful because I never stayed off of my limbs believing that it was just some &quot;injury&quot; that I would eventually heal from. I do what I can now, but it isn&#39;t enough to be able to live a &quot;normal&quot; life. Hopefully, soon enough :-)

Hi, I have RSD that has spread to all of my limbs. My specialist has never even seen it spread like this, I'll be going for a ketamine infusion next month in the hope that it will help...the need for awareness is so huge, this is such a new condition and with enough research I am sure they can find a way to stop it...I really like your blog, very interesting articles!<BR/>-Caf :)

I have had RSD in my right foot in result of a crush injury two years ago. Last week, I tried smoking marijuana (for the first time in 10 years) to see if the pain would subside. I smoked one joint, and ten minutes later I felt like crying, the pain was so little, I havent felt so great in years. Also I was able to go to bed without taking my Imovane pills. That alone is a first in two years

I am blessed in that I have the "Advanced Bionics" version. It is rechargeable so no matter how high or low I make my SCS at that moment by the time the week is up I am putting a charger to my battery pack and in 3-4 hours am charged nicely for the next week.<BR/><BR/>I have had some unfortunate events. I have been implanted with this device. I enjoyed being able to move after being completely bedridden. I enjoyed it so much I moved my lead and will need to go back into surgery to have it put back into place. This device is a wonderful thing. I pray that after my scar tissue heals and I am allowed to live life fully again, that I will have 25% max time being bed bound. As it is now, I am 90% bed
